Vanessa's California Quinceañera

La fiesta Quinceañera, is the rite of passage for fifteen-year-old Latina girls. Vanessa's family and friends celebrated to the fullest, the tradition and meaning of the quinceañera when she was escorted into womanhood by her family. I traveled to their home in Burbank, CA to photographed this marvelous event. Vanessa is as smart as she is beautiful. Carlos and Kenya have very much to be proud of. I wish her all of the happiness in the world and thank Vanessa and her parents for letting me be part of this quinceañera celebration.

Gail X - In Studio, Personal Portrait

Gail X, contacted me through an exhibit on display at several of the "Beauty Center" locations here in Las Vegas. It was pretty obvious to me that this was not her first time in front of a camera. Though I always favor creating on location, Gail was the perfect studio model. She was such a fantastic and fun girl to work with! These portraits really capture her strength, her self confidence and her beauty.

Nicole and Travis were married October 23, 2009. I found out about the wedding on October 22, 2009! Their photographer got sick with the flu...but she's better now. It's funny how the unexpected happens at the most unexpected times. I was given the opportunity to help and fill-in for her to capture the memories of Nicole and Travis' BEAUTIFUL Wedding Celebration.

T'was a day in which two hearts were joined and two souls were forever bound together. . . by love.

Amie and Nathaniel, on October 17, 2009 , committed themselves to each other as husband and wife before friends and family. With the promise to live and love, encourage and celebrate, respect and grow through all the changes of life.

Teaming up and working with Kira Sanoja (an amazing wedding photographer), we saw in Nate's and Amie's eyes, love and friendship. It's such a blessing to have a friend to travel the road of life with. That someone to laugh with, that someone to lean on, that someone that completes us.

So what's a Q-Session... Well it's the Quinceañera Photography done before the actual celebration. A Quinceañera,("fifteen years" in English), in Latin American culture, is a coming of age ceremony held on a girl's fifteenth birthday. The term Quinceaños refers to the birthday of the celebrant, and the term Quinceañera refers to the celebrant herself. Like many other coming-of-age ceremonies, the Quinceaños is associated with the Quinceañera "becoming a lady".

Vanessa was so much fun to work with! She and her parents came in from California to create these images. From, Lake Las Vegas to the Strip, these photographs along with childhood pictures will be used in the celebrations slide show presentation for her friends and family. And oh what a celebration that will be!!!

With the character and charm of a bye-gone era, Monika & Aaron - Married on October 3rd, 2009.

On this special day, in a blissful moment they have united as husband and wife. A blessing has been given... of two hearts love, pure and true... a dream is brought to life

Ask not for the moon and the stars diamonds or for pearls and fancy cars... Love, the real treasure cherishing every moment together.
But a small request to truly wish , with hope it is not too much to ask To hold hands through the whole journey as you live and walk life's path

As years pass by, my only prayer is that your love grows stronger, and that it never fade away for eternity and longer!

Nothing gives me more honor than to be in the service to the men and women who serve in the United States Military Services. I feel that it is because of their courage that we Americans have the right to vote the way we vote, have the freedom of speech to openly agree and/or disagree, and live in the sense of safety. The truth of the matter though, is that our freedom is not free. We enjoy so much that we take for granted...thanks to the American soldier.


Working with (the AMAZING) Suzi Lighten of TSL, I photographed Shaun & Lauren Marks' Wedding day celebration. Shaun serves in our country's military and came home (from duty in the middle east to marry his beautiful Lauren on September 19, 2009.

The Marks' wedding was truly a day all about romance,
all about friends...all about family....all about love.....all about fun...all about life.
Thank you Shaun for your service to our country. And thank you Lauren for being the wife of an American Soldier.
